The US Environmental Protection Agency: History and Potential Reform for the Benefit of America and the Planet
I worked for the EPA from 1979 to 2004. I learned a lot about science, America and the natural world. Above all, I realized my ideas did not go very far. Despite my education and enthusiasm for doing good, America was on the path of delusion for superpower status and ignored the right way of life and civilization. Forces of commerce, money-making, had taken over the government and academia and industry. The word and idea and reality of ecology was floating in the air, finding few if any places to take roots.
